The art is created on 140lb coldpress watercolor paper with a Pentel pocket brush pen, a Pigma fine tipped brush pen, watercolors, Copic markers, and Photoshop touch-ups.
Carmen Wood is an enthusiastic creator based out of Minnesota. Her art has been published in New Moon Girls Magazine, received an honorable mention for the 2016 SCBWI Tomie DePaola Award, and is inspired and informed by her day job at a school library as well as her stint as a bookseller at Publishers Weekly’s 2017 best bookstore of the year, Wild Rumpus Books. She has been a member of the SCBWI since 2012.
